Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 it is a legal requirement that employers provide free training in health and safety. This course fulfils that legal requirement. This is a qualification designed to provide basic knowledge and understanding of the principles of health and safety for employees working within any sector.

Employers have responsibilities for the health and safety of their employees. They are also responsible for any visitors to their premises such as customers, suppliers and the general public. As an employee, you have rights, and you have responsibilities for your own wellbeing and that of your colleagues.
